KY Mandatory Supervisor/Associate Course

KY Required Course for Supervisory Appraisers and Associate Appraisers (7-Hours)
Under 201 KAR 30:040, the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board requires that both supervising appraisers and associate (trainee) appraisers successfully complete a Board-approved 7-hour Supervisor and Associate Appraiser course before any supervisory relationship may begin or experience hours can be logged. This Kentucky-specific requirement ensures that both parties clearly understand their respective responsibilities, ethical obligations, and regulatory expectations. In addition, the regulation requires that both supervisors and associates complete this course every three (3) years to remain eligible to supervise or continue receiving experience credit.
This is a mandatory, stand-alone requirement that applies to all supervisory relationships in Kentucky and must be satisfied through a course approved by the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board.
Whether you're a Certified Appraiser preparing to supervise a trainee or an aspiring appraiser seeking licensure, this course ensures that you understand the foundational knowledge and regulatory framework necessary for a successful supervisory relationship.
